Role Overview: Site Manager (Civils Background) We are looking for a driven and experienced Site Manager with a strong civils background, or a Site Engineer eager to take the next step into a management role.
This position is ideal for an individual with a passion for delivering high-quality projects on time and to the highest standards.
As Site Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency across all project stages .
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage on-site operations, ensuring work is carried out in alignment with project timelines and quality standards.
Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to drive smooth, efficient, and safe site activities.
Oversee all aspects of health, safety, and compliance on-site, fostering a proactive safety culture.
Provide technical expertise and hands-on guidance, drawing on a strong foundation in civil engineering.
Contribute to project planning, problem-solving, and troubleshooting to minimize delays and optimize workflows.

Excellent team worker Technical knowledge of construction processes High attention to detail Problem solving Excellent IT skills Strong communicative skills both written and oral Strong analytical skills Full and clean driving license Relevant safety accreditations Job Roles: Liaising with clients and reporting on progress to staff and the public Supervising construction workers, hiring and managing subcontractors Material take offs checking Quants against BoQ and relevant specifications Sourcing & Ordering materials for each phase of the project Monitoring build costs and project progress Conducting quality and safety inspections Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings Maintaining quality control checks Motivating the workforce Day to day problem solving and dealing with any issues that arise Working on-site in all weathers, at clients businesses or in a site office Checking plans, quantities, specifications and drawings to ensure accuracy Resolving any technical queries and raising RFIs in a timely manner with the client Liaising with clients and representatives which will include surveyors, Architects and Designers Liaising with sub-contractors Management admin duties, inc daily & weekly records / inspections submitted to Head Office, and all other relevant documentation Daily Program Checking, Programming, weekly program reporting, week lookahead plans, (and follow ups) creating MRNs, outline delay notices.
