This exciting opportunity calls for a Site Maintenance Engineer dedicated to maintaining a brand-new logistics facility.
Your role will be instrumental in upholding safety standards, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence in our state-of-the-art environment.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct regular inspections and perform maintenance on the facility's systems, including HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing.
Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues efficiently.
Establish and oversee preventative maintenance programs for newly installed equipment.
Ensure health and safety regulations are consistently followed in our logistics setting.
Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for maintenance and repairs.
Respond swiftly to urgent maintenance issues, including occasional after-hours call-outs.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance tasks and repair activities.
Support the implementation of facility upgrades and optimizations.
Carry out electrical testing and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Oversee racking upkeep to maintain safety and efficiency.
Collaborate with warehouse teams to aid in everyday maintenance needs.
Physical capability to climb ladders and comfortably handle work at heights.
Some travel to additional sites may be required.
Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related area.
At least 5 years of experience in maintaining industrial or commercial facilities.
Certified in electrical testing (e.g., City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent).
Experience in racking repairs and testing, with training available.
Demonstrated skill in problem-solving and decision-making.
Familiarity with modern building systems: refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, and more.
Awareness of food safety and OSHA standards.
Effective communication skills and strong organizational abilities.
Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Self-directed with the initiative to work independently.
Valid UK driving license for site travel.
Willingness to handle emergency call-outs outside standard hours.
Experience in minor vehicle repairs is advantageous.
Hours: Standard hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (37.5 hours/week).
Availability for occasional out-of-hours emergencies, expected less than five times a year.
