Advert Job Title: Site Foreman – Joinery and Cabinet MakingLocation: Stourbridge (on-site)Shift: Monday to FridaySalary: £32,000 - £36,000 per yearBasis: Permanent Overview:We are seeking an experienced Site Foreman with a strong background in joinery and cabinetry making to oversee operations in our workshop.
The successful candidate will manage the production team, ensuring efficient workflows, maintaining high-quality standards, and adhering to Health & Safety regulations.
This role requires excellent leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple aspects of workshop operations.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily operations in the joinery shop, including spray booths, mills, and warehouse.Lead and manage the joinery team, delegating tasks and ensuring productivity and quality standards.Monitor and maintain strict adherence to Health & Safety policies in the workshop.Take off materials and create cutting sheets (most provided), ensuring production runs smoothly.Provide feedback on job progress, including material requirements or any time delays, to senior management.
Requirements: Several years of experience in a Foreman or managerial role within the joinery or cabinetry sector.Strong technical skills in joinery and cabinet making, with an eye for detail and quality.Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.Ability to read technical drawings and provide feedback or suggestions to the drawing department.High level of organisation and time management, with a strong focus on punctuality and team coordination.
