Site Engineer / Setting Out Engineer

Description Site Engineer Setting out EngineerWe are currently looking for a Freelance Site Engineer to start Monday 23rd September down at Dover.
•Duration – until approx.
end of December.
•Details for the site - Upgrade works to the former boat yard within the Dover Western Docks.
This will comprise of installing new services, drainage and modular buildings as part of the new EES checks.
There are also works to be undertaken in the Eastern Docks.•Experience required will be in setting out and surveys with robotic total station, locating existing services, working around live services, completing QA check sheets and diary, working with subcontractors.Setting out using total stations, and to be able to undertake traditional setting out Read and review construction drawingsUndertake basic take-offsRaising technical queries with designers and other members of the client teamHave a good commercial understanding and know the difference between cost and valueCarry out relevant inspections and testing to ensure conformance of the works with the design and specificationEnsure all work complies with quality, safety and environmental policies and the requirements of the company proceduresWhat we are looking for:-Minimum 5 years experience delivering complex projectsRelevant CSCSComputer competence Civil Engineering related qualification Successful experience as a site engineer
