Our distribution center in Braintree is integral to the success of our company. As the Receiving Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operations and functions of the receiving department, including managing the receiving team. In an RF environment, accuracy and process drive the results. This is a hands-on role, and you will work with your team to ensure accuracy of inventory as it relates to receiving and put away via bin location system. This is a visible role and has a direct impact on the sales growth for the company.
The Shipping Manager is responsible for leading the operation and functions of the shipping and delivery functions. You will direct pickers and delivery associates to ensure accurate material selection, loading, and delivery of customer orders.
Responsibilities of the role: Supervise the delivery drivers and driver assists in loading and delivering materials for customers and internal transfers. Resolve shipping and delivery errors independently using sound judgment. Work with the supervisor to report any performance, attendance, unsafe driver practices, and operational issues. Assist in developing corrective actions for violations. Participate in interviewing, selecting, and onboarding new hires. Maintain a culture of safety and accountability to ensure all associates operate safely. Verify routes of trucks in Bistrack to maximize efficiency of routes, distance, and customer requirements. Review upcoming journey planner dates to minimize and/or eliminate back-order materials. Properly stage internal transfers to be packed and loaded nightly. Manage the delivery team's workload to stay within departmental budget. Ensure all delivery vehicles are secured and locked at the end of each day. Responsible for compliance with DOT regulations, operation & maintenance of delivery vehicles, including road tests, DOT medical cards, and vehicle inspections. Oversee that all company technology is utilized by delivery personnel to maximize efficiencies and notify IT & supervisors when issues arise. Investigate all Shipping department incidents and accidents, including vehicle and injuries, to find the root cause and review findings with the supervisor. Requirements Proficient with WMS and RF systems; Bistrack software experience preferred. Able to communicate clearly and concisely to the delivery team on work processes and areas of improvement. Excellent time-management skills and a "can-do" attitude with a sense of urgency. Efficient and organized approach to daily work. Ability to prioritize daily demands to meet customer requirements. Ability to coach and train employees to maximize performance. Knowledge of safety/OSHA, DOT, and other related compliance regulations. Ability to read packing list details and verify matching products. High level of organization with work tasks and able to manage the same through the team. Self-directed and motivated with a commitment to self-development and the development of the team. Education and Experience 5+ years of direct supervision of transportation & warehouse staff. In-depth knowledge of inventory management and receiving practices. Experience working in a WMS environment. This position is Monday - Friday.
