PE Global is recruiting a Shipping Coordinator for our oil and gas client based in Inverurie, Scotland.
The role is an initial 23-month contract.
Responsibilities of the role: Organise the shipment of import and export orders: obtaining quotes from freight agents, preparing all relevant documentation, liaising with other departments to obtain information as requiredCommunicate with customers and coordinate collectionsComplete accurate documentation such as commercial invoices and shipping orders in line with regulations according to the country of destinationEnsure all movements of goods, imports & exports are in compliance with HMRC Strictly adhere to International Trade Compliance procedures & regulationsCoordinate with Sales/Production/Procurement Departments and Warehouse personnel to plan and co-ordinate transportation of material and equipment and manage timely flow of customer orders and with focus on accuracy, efficiency, and time managementAddress order flow or shipping delays and quality control issues, such as damaged or improperly packed goodsEnsuring shipping registers are up to date with accurate information, all documents are filed and archived appropriatelyUpdating production schedules & keeping production managers up to date on all collections and deliveriesAssist in preparation of audits/inspections both internal and by external bodies.Requirements: EssentialHND in a relevant business qualification or equivalentA strong sense of customer focus (internal/external)Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)Solid knowledge of logistics import & export procedures including customs procedures and Incoterms 2020Experience in international sea, air and road transport operations and planning, knowledge of documentation requirements (CIPL, BOL, AWB, CMR, MRN)DesirableCILT related qualificationIATA/IMDG/ADR Dangerous goods qualificationPlease note PE Global cannot assist with sponsorship.
