Shift Manager Northwood Hygiene Products – High Volume Tissue Manufacturing
Based: Telford, Shropshire
Salary - £45,000 to £50,000 p.a.
Northwood is an entrepreneurial, highly acquisitive family-owned UK based manufacturing operation producing professional paper hygiene products.
Fully vertically integrated, they are a leading partner of choice for an impressive customer base, with a diverse product portfolio across professional wiping, commodity, consumer paper and private label.
The well invested Telford site manufacture tissue products for the Away from Home Sector, operating 24/7 and employing c200 people.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Shift Manager/Supervisor/Team Leader to lead, mentor and develop a team of c30 through 3 Cell Leaders, to achieve challenging targets in terms of health & safety, productivity, quality, cost and delivery.
You will work closely with the Production Manager to continue to develop a culture of open communication, building a collaborative working environment, developing team members to reach their highest potential.
This is a 24/7 operation, with a 4 on 4 off shift system (6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am).
Candidates must have a proven Shift Management/Shift Leader background, gained in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Self-motivated, you will have demonstrable experience of improving productivity and production performance, in addition to the development of a high performing, autonomous, multi-skilled team.
You will also be able to demonstrate the utilisation of TPM/continuous improvement techniques.
