Overview of role Location: Bradford
A fantastic opportunity has arisen within our Engineering Team to join as a Shift Engineer.
This is an exciting role with an opportunity to make an impact.
The purpose of this role is to deliver engineering support to the site.
Within this role it is essential that continuous improvement is actively pursued to achieve World Class standards in Asset Care, and H&S is at the heart of everything we do.
The successful candidate will work as part of a self organizing departmental team, and supply engineering support to the whole site.
Flexibility of skills is essential to ensure that the main areas within the site operations, packaging, Distribution, utilities and building services are maintained to maximize our assets.

Key Accountabilities To work within all necessary H&S legislation (e.g.
LOLER, PUWER, PAT testing, Electricity @ works regulations, COSHH, PTW etc.)
and to proactively contribute to raising the standards across Speedibake.
Additionally, be fully conversant with company safe systems of work, operating within agreed safe working practices in line with statutory and company requirements. To comply with factory based training in order to achieve the agreed engineering job position in the required timescales.
Proactively manage own time, including prioritization of workload in order to fulfil factory commitments. Work closely with engineering colleagues to maximize learning exposure, in depth hand-over, team working ethics & good understanding of the manufacturing process. Collaborative team approach to breakdowns or emergencies that may arise with an action based approach & a '100 year fix' mentality. Identification of CI opportunities. A totally flexible approach, to be available to cover any shift as part of current or any future rotational cover system.
This includes weekend work, cover for shortages on shift etc. Collate and record accurate records each day using CMMS. Area of accountability includes, but not limited to: Production, packaging, distribution, services, facilities, Offices & external areas. To carry out any other reasonable duties that will be required by the company from time to time. To comply with good manufacturing practices and the Food Safety Act 1990. To comply with stores withdrawal procedures, to ensure tight cost controls. The Right Person Excellent educational reports and qualifications HNC/HND multiskilled engineer or electrical bias 3 years post apprenticeship training FMCG experience an added advantage Previous supervisory experience an added advantage Plant knowledge and customer service approach experience Flexible and adaptable to business demands Evidence of a leaning towards engineering & technology interests. Systems literate - PC, Office suite.
