We're looking for a SHE Advisor to join our Natural Resources Team for our Severn Trent framework, based from a mixture of home and our new site at Wanlip Treatment works in Leicestershire.
Location : Working from home and from site at Wanlip Wastewater Treatment works in Leicestershire.
Contract : Permanent, Full Time – flexible and part-time hours may be available if desired, just let us know.
Responsibilities As a SHE Advisor , you'll be working within our Natural Resources business unit, supporting our site teams in ensuring safety standards are upheld and to advise on minimising and avoiding risks around day-to-day work.
Nothing is so urgent that we cannot take time to do it safely.
You'll be supporting them in managing works on schemes between £5m-£15m in value on wastewater treatment plants and of a resilience and upgrade nature, with focus on a new multi million pound scheme at Wanlip in Leicestershire.
With lots of work secured and more to coming in the next AMP, now's a good time to join us as a seasoned Advisor without or without water industry experience or if looking for a change we'll help train you.
Your day to day will include: Actively promoting Safety, Health and Welfare, leading and setting a good example to other employees and stakeholders.
Working closely with the operational teams in carrying out their roles and SHE responsibilities.
Assisting the operational teams in developing Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work.
Conduct regular and robust health and safety Inspections & Audits.
What are we looking for?
This role of SHE Advisor is great for you if you: Hold a full UK Driving Licence.
NEBOSH certificate in occupational health & safety.
Membership of relevant professional institution (e.g., IOSH, IEMA).
Experience within either civil engineering, construction environment or with the Water or utilities sector.
