The plan is the company's largest ever, to enhance the health and wellbeing of our communities, protect and improve the environment and help to sustain the local economy so there has never been a better time to join us!Following retirement after a fruitful 40 year long career with us, we are now recruiting for a new Sewer Rehabilitation Lead to join our organisation to ensure fit-for-purpose, prioritised and safe outline designs for sewer and rising main rehabilitation to reduce sewerage serviceability failures are delivered to the Capital Delivery Team, via the Asset Strategy and Planning department, in a timely manner.In-house investigation and optioneering will be a major element of the role to ensure that the best cost intervention is selected for design.Other duties include, but are not limited to:Identify, develop understanding of and resolve generic issues by independently applying advanced engineering judgement, modifying and extending engineering theories and practice in own field.Definition of business processes to ensure effective, efficient, clear and concise methods of working.Targeting investigations in areas of highest risk of serviceability failure.Complex analysis and interpretation of sewerage data and survey information.Development of sewer rehabilitation data management, storage and access Detailed optioneering, utilising whole life costing and cost benefit analysis.Attendance and representation for SW at industry conferences and seminars and technical liaison on sewer rehabilitation research and development projects.About YouWe are ideally seeking a qualified Engineer who possesses extensive design and operational experience of sewerage systems.
A competent user of GIS would also be preferable.That said, we recognise this is a niche area of work and we therefore welcome applications from people outside of this industry who feel they have the relevant skills and experience to thrive in this role!PackageThis role will be full time Monday to Friday.
