Job summary We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Service Manager to join our busy specialty comprising of Trauma & Orthopaedics at Frimley Park Hospital.
This position primarily will be to drive the efficiency for the running of the service including planning with particular focus on the admitted pathway and theatre utilisation.
This will be a cross site role between the Frimley, Wexham and the Heatherwood sites.
We are looking for someone who has the drive, ambition and enthusiasm to support a busy directorate; you will be working with clinical and administrative staff to ensure the success of our service in delivery of its 18 week targets, financial, quality and performance objectives and will report to the Deputy Operations Manager.
You will have good leadership skills and excellent communication and collaborative team-working skills and knowledge of 18 weeks.
You will enjoy a varied and diverse workload and be able to continually adapt and work flexibly to support the needs of the team.

Main duties of the job General Management Ensure that there are effective administration processes in place to ensure that patient access to services is optimised.
Ensure that there are effective mechanisms for communication of the business processes to all staff under the remit of the role.
Support the delivery of access targets within the service through effective management of consultant leave and capacity & demand management in line with the Trust Consultant Leave Policy.
Take proactive steps as requested by Operations Management Team if there is any deviation from the delivery of the access targets.
Support the investigation of patient complaints, analysing the issues and identifying any faults in procedures, processes or the treatment of patients and making appropriate recommendations to the Operations Management Team and others to avoid future occurrences.
