Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation TrustAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and dynamic individual to join the leadership team for Acute Paediatrics and Phlebotomy.
The post is vital to the smooth running of both the Paediatric and Phlebotomy services and the post holder will be responsible for providing a high level of leadership and management support to the departments, as well as supervision and management to their direct reports.
This role will provide the successful applicant with the opportunity to gain experience in a wide variety of operational issues, including project management, activity and performance management to ensure we are providing an effective service and meeting the needs of children and families in City and Hackney.
The successful applicant will have experience of managing multi-disciplinary healthcare teams with excellent communication skills.
The post holder will need excellent organisational skills to co-ordinate the delivery of a comprehensive, high quality service for our patients and they will lead on implementing and developing administrative pathways.
Main duties of the jobWork with the divisional management team to ensure the achievement of performance and other local and national clinical and non-clinical targets.Provide first line operational management to Acute Paediatrics and Phlebotomy outpatient and administrative departments and supervise systems and processes (including oversight of clinic function, clinic timings, staffing and skill mix).In liaison with the quality leads in the department and the division, ensure appropriate systems and processes are established in departments and areas to support the robust reporting and progress of governance, risk and safeguarding issues.Manage designated financial resources within budget and support the divisional management team in financial management within the directorate.Support the development of service line reporting and service line management within the department.About usHomerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is a high performing and flourishing organisation serving the population of Hackney, East London, The City and beyond.
