Who you'll be supporting & more about the role: This is an award winning service, having recently won at The Great British Care Awards, as well as the We Dare Awards.
It is a beautiful residential home, with a lovely garden, where the people we support spend a lot of time.
The people we support have a range of needs, from complex learning disabilities and autism to physical disabilities.
They have an established staff team who know them very well.
They are all fully trained and familiar with everyone's routines.
With experience working in a health or social care setting, you will need to have an upbeat positive manner, as well as having a genuine passion for supporting people to become a part of their local and wider community.
Experience working with learning and physical disabilities, mental health and challenging behaviours is essential for this role.
You will also be familiar with working with people supported who present behaviours that require intensive support planning and management to ensure their safety and quality of life at all times.
In this role, you will manage a team of dedicated Support Workers to promote independence and enable the people we support to lead their best lives possible.
You will be comfortable using basic IT systems that are required within the role - however training can be offered to support this area.
You will also preferably hold a professional qualification in Health and Social Care and a UK Driving License.
If you do not hold a qualification, we can support you to obtain one.
