Description Title: Service Engineer Duration: Permanent Location: Watford Territory: KT, SL, WD Our client is looking for a Service Engineer to provide on-site corrective/preventative maintenance and offer after-sales technical and commercial support.
Responsibilities include: Maintain and develop a good relationship with customersFlexible approach to customer's needsAbide by the company's and clients Health & Safety policiesPresent a professional image to customers whether by telephone, in writing or in person.Reports to Service Manager on progress or delays.Completion and submission of risk assessments, work reports, activity reports and all other documentation.Completion of site tasks and activitiesImprove the client's system, (reliability or productivity) via recommendations and where appropriate provide quotations to the client for parts, consumables, plant upgrades and refurbishment workLiaise with the appropriate sales team on any potential leads.Provide regular updates to your line manager on any issues that may result in financial, reputational or operational impact on the Company.To carry out commissioning work on standard equipment.
Requirements: NVQ or higher in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or similar or even working towardGCSE or equivalent – English and Maths.A full UK driving licence is required.Excellent time management skills.Experience with the water industry would be an advantage but is not essential.Passionate about providing a first-class service to our customers.Able to handle challenging conversations with customers and find a resolution.Strong communication skills both verbally and written, with the versatility to communicate at all levels in a clear and concise manner.Demonstrable experience of having built strong working relationships both internally and externally.A professional approach to your work and communication with colleagues and customers.A good level of IT competency.Good organisational skills with an eye for detail.Able to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks.
