Job Details Job details  – Serious Case Reviewer   Location  – Mottisfont Court, Winchester   Salary  - PO1 -  £40,893.00 -  £43,920.00   Hours  – 37 per week    Contract  – Permanent    Closing date  –   Sunday 1st December 2024 @ 23:59hrs About the role   Your role will be to support the head of the Serious Case & Crime Review Team to provide a force capacity to engage in Serious Case Review processes and to ensure learning is embedded in policy and practice.
Serious case reviews focus on Public Protection matters which are: Child Abuse, Adult Abuse, Domestic Abuse, Missing Persons, and Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements.
Key Accountabilities will be and not limited to:     1.
To represent the Force on relevant strategic Serious Case Review sub-groups i.e.
Child Abuse, Adult Abuse, Domestic Homicide, MAPPA.
2.
To represent the Force on relevant Serious Case Review panels to agree recommendations for change.
3.
To conduct police Internal Management Reviews and audits for the force for Public Protection related events e.g.
Joint Targeted Area Inspections.
4.
To make recommendations for improvement to both force and multi agency processes.
Identify, collate and disseminate best practice across the organisation.
5.
To assist in the implementation of recommendations and co-ordinate activity to ensure that recommendations are imbedded into working practices.
6.
To stay up to date with current best practice, procedures and policy around all relevant Public Protection disciplines;   For further details please see the role profile here Essential Qualifications   Educated to  QCF Level  6 OR work experience deemed to have brought the postholder to a comparable level.
Essential Experience   To have experience in a multi-agency Public Protection environment.
To have experience and to be skilled in writing and preparing reports.
To have experience supervising/managing members of staff.
