We are looking for an experienced technical Senior SEO Manager who is looking for a step up into a hands on SEO Account Director role.
We'd expect the candidate to have strong SEO skills with the ability to resolve complex SEO challenges collaboratively with developers and other digital stakeholders.
The role is suitable for a SEO Manager with experience in an agency environment with a good amount of client facing experience who is looking for more opportunities to help develop the team and product offering.
The main accounts for this role are a major health and life insurance provider and a luxury travel company.
The SEO Account Director will be expected to demonstrate the following core competencies across 3 key operational areas: Technical SEO – Clients – Team.
SEO The SEO AD will be responsible for hands on managing and executing all aspects of SEO delivery for clients, with a strong focus on technical, from running audits to providing recommendations and following road map progress.
You will providing on-going scoping of the project and align strategies with other digital marketing channels within the agency.
When appropriate, the SEO Account Director will also be the technical SEO expert on client calls and new business pitches and opportunities.

Clients Building strong relationships with clients within the patch will be the major element of the role.
Presenting complex data in easy to understand ways and telling a story from the data will be key for this role in building client relationships.
Working alongside other technical experts within the agency, you will provide regular reports and updates to clients, ensuring that expectations are consistently managed and exceeded.

The SEO AD will report directly to the Head of SEO.
ABOUT YOU We are seeking an exceptional SEO Account Director who is a driven self-learner; equally comfortable working on alone and as part of a team.
You are a passionate advocate for delivering exceptional results for your clients and love being hands-on in delivering the best possible results.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a relentless pursuit of knowledge, continuously expanding their SEO expertise and staying not just abreast of but ahead of industry trends.
Experience of working within a digital or media agency is essential for this role.
You will need to be comfortable with owning day to day communications with clients.
ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE Considerable experience of large website analysis and an ability to provide recommendations for optimisation relating to search engine crawling capability, indexation, accessibility, mobile performance, on-page optimisation and backlinks.
Great understanding of keyword research and content GAP analysis, with the ability to identify opportunities.
Able to support the implementation of your recommendations.
Able to adapt and understand new web development technologies and how this affects SEO.
Experience of working with client stakeholders to understand infrastructure and frontend presentation layers (inc. JavaScript) on which search facing web platforms are built and how this impacts SEO.
Understanding of business operations and the requirements and how best SEO integrates.
Able to fully manage client accounts, managing complex projects from inception to full delivery.
Substantial experience with reporting and presenting results, actions and next steps to clients weekly and monthly, and in quarterly meetings.
Experience setting and implementing relevant KPIs and achievable SEO targets for the client.

The second stage will be a Teams Interview with Diogo Cruz & Peter Shorney, focusing SEO delivery with higher focus on content.
The third stage will be in person in our Covent Garden office with James Brown and the SEO team.
