Job Description The Senior Workshop Technician is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring the efficient, safe, and high-quality completion of all tasks.
This role involves advanced technical skills, leadership, and the ability to manage workshop technicians and testers.
The Senior Workshop Technician will work closely with the Customer Services Advisor to optimise workflows and ensure customer satisfaction.
About The Role General Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and support.
To be accountable for overall manpower requirements and correct placement/deployment of the Centre team, creating staff rotas to ensure competence, efficiency and productivity is consistently achieved.
Assign tasks and manage workflow to ensure timely and efficient completion of all work.
Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Monitor and manage inventory, ordering parts and supplies as needed with the customer service advisor.
To adhere to and promote all company Health & Safety procedures, regularly training and supporting both new and existing employees to ensure compliance at all times.
To manage and assist with customer complaints alongside the Customer service advisor and the Customer Care Manager, ensuring a mutually satisfactory outcome is achieved resulting in customer delight.
Always ensure complete MOT compliance at all times.
Inspect and QC completed work to ensure it meets the required standards and specifications.
To manage all stock requirements in line with necessary budgets and company expectations, including the facilitation of periodic audits/inventories.
Conduct performance reviews of workshop employees.
Maintain and calibrate tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
To communicate at high levels with the Customer Service Advisor to ensure deadlines are met and customers are satisfied.
Where required to be involved in the pricing of repairs and the communication to the customer.
To thoroughly quality check all work undertaken and seek advice/support when required.
To carry out any other reasonable tasks as requested by the AGM or other member of senior management.
