Job description: We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Wind Tunnel Methodology Engineer to join the Andretti Cadillac Team at our new Silverstone Facility. In this role, you will work within a small group of engineers responsible for supporting the development and integration of wind tunnel testing methodologies, processes and technologies.

Principal Accountabilities: Be part of a team responsible for the development and integration of wind tunnel testing methodologies and technologies such as PIV, model motion and control, flow field measurements, metrology and other wind tunnel technologies and capabilities.
Support the delivery of class leading quality and throughput wind tunnel testing, in support of race car aerodynamic development.
Support the setup and calibration of wind tunnel systems, instrumentation and rig installations.
Investigate and research new and novel technologies, techniques and methodologies for wind tunnel systems including instrumentation, sensors and aerodynamic measurements etc.
Support technical fault logging and resolution in a methodical approach.
Work closely with aero development and performance engineers in defining and delivering upon requirements.
Assist with the training of more junior group members.
Requirements Proven experience in a similar wind tunnel testing role, preferably within the motorsport industry.
Extensive experience of wind tunnel systems and testing facilities.
A deep understanding of wind tunnel testing methodology and best practices.
Excellent knowledge and experience of PIV system operation and development.
Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical installations and assemblies, pressure measurement instrumentation and wind tunnel flow field and metrology systems.
Experience in operating test installations, machinery and safety critical equipment.
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
Communicate effectively with key stakeholders/directors.
Strong levels of IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
