Health & Safety Manager Job Description We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join our team and play a critical role in managing health and safety within the Amazon Fulfilment Centre.
The successful candidate will identify, coordinate and drive improvements in inbound safety, quality and productivity, working with Operations Management teams to continuously improve functionality and level of service provided to customers.
Key Responsibilities: Manage health and safety function at the FC, including supervision of staff to ensure delivery of objectives.
Proactively engage in collaborative health and safety projects across all operations sites.
Provide authoritative advice and guidance on health & safety matters to all stakeholders within designated area of responsibility.
Review and audit arrangements for health & safety management and continuously improve these arrangements where appropriate.
Provide strategies to plan and organise work systems to reduce health & safety risks, recommending and implementing mitigations and processes.
Ensure robust reporting regimes are in place for Health and Safety metrics.
Provide management information and statistics related to your area of responsibility.
Support business change through effective change management processes within the fast-paced FC environment.
Drive behavioural culture change programme across a large, complex, multi-shift operation.
Implementation and review of company global safety policies ensuring that local HSE requirements are met.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree and additional qualifications to an NVQ5/NEBOSH Diploma level.
Relevant experience managing a team.
Relevant experience complying with local Health and Safety legislation.
Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Lean, 5S and Kaizen experience; Environmental qualification/experience an advantage.
Salary Range: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
