Job Description:Senior User ResearcherBupa Place, Salford Quays M50 3SP as your base - flexible, hybridPermanentFull Time (37.5 hours per week)Salary circa £50K depending on experienceWe make health happenYou'll sit alongside a passionate and talented multi-disciplinary experience design team, made up of user researchers, product designers, content designers and design operations, who are focused on creating the best digital experiences for Bupa's customers in the UK.You'll plan, design, and lead research activities with users that help teams get a deep understanding of the people that use Bupa's products and services.You'll help others create research activities in larger teams and on more complex projects, research that will help to inform proposition, service, content, and interaction design so that our products and services meet the needs of our users and are truly customer centric.
How you'll help us make health happenWorking alongside a multidisciplinary team of researchers, UX designers, visual designers and content designers, you'll help design experiences for all areas of the business.
You'll be responsible for planning and carrying out user research activities for and with the rest of the team – owning the process end to end and empowering colleagues to get involved.You'll be working as an embedded researcher across two squads.Spotting opportunities for research to support in the design process, educating colleagues and stakeholders about what we do and how we can support.
You'll be contributing to the growth of a team that's establishing itself and growing in maturity – helping to improve and set up processes and ways of working.
You'll be deepening our knowledge of our customers and helping to champion their needs so we can serve them better.
YouImpressive Research experience – most likely as a User / UX researcher but we're open to candidates from Market / Social research backgrounds who can demonstrate a good level of knowledge and transferable skills.
Experience across generative and evaluative research methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to lead research projects from start to finishExperience of undertaking research with sensitive audiences/around sensitive topicsBackground in working on projects related to accessibility.
Confident working with analytics data - we use Adobe Analytics and FullStoryProven track record of advocating for user research in the design process and making the business case for thorough and impactful research.
Experience working as part of Agile teams.This role is flexible in terms of where you're based – our team is based all over the UK!
We just ask that you can make it into our Salford (just outside of Manchester) office once a quarter for dedicated team time, and as and when for key meetings/activities.
However, you're free to come in to the office as often as you'd like – whatever works for you.
