What will you be doing This role will be supporting successful delivery of technology enabled outcomes for some of our clients' most challenging business issues, using modern and best in class engineering methodologies Be a role model, mentor and advocate for principles and best practices in the Quality Engineering and Testing teamWork with technology delivery teams to ensure that solutions are tested successfully Test analysis and design, including development of test scripts / suites for functional & technical testingCreation and development of testing frameworks, tools & utilitiesExecution of tests/suites and report results, capture execution & key metrics over timeWork collaboratively with technology teams to drive quality and successful testingDefect management, including raising and resolving defects in a structured manner, and providing solutionsto improve your capability, and that of the team What will you need to do it?
A high percentage of work will require individuals to hold or be capable of obtaining UK National Security Vetting, the requirements for which could include but not be limited to having resided in the UK for at least the past 5 years and being a UK national or dual UK national.
An experienced QA tester supporting projects across a variety of technologiesExcellent knowledge of Software Testing / QA Life Cycle including understanding the various types of testing (such as manual, automated, functional, non -functional)Confident in developing test plans, acceptance criteria and test conditions / test cases from user stories, technical designs and specificationsGood understanding of test management tools (such as JIRA / Zephyr, Azure DevOps)Excellent skills in acquiring and analysing test dataExperience of delivering testing by working closely with technology functions throughout the delivery lifecycle (for example, as part of '3 Amigos' in agile teams)Some knowledge and experience of test automation, non-functional testing, and technical testing Skills we'd love to see/Amazing Extras:Supporting test management in risk management, estimation, planning and prioritisation, and reportingExcellent communication skills, with the ability to influence management and to build and maintain strong team relationshipsAbility to set-up and run test tooling and frameworksTechnical or testing specialisms, such as coding for automated testing, performance engineering, accessibility testing To discuss this or wider Technology roles with our recruitment team, all you need to do is apply, create a profile, upload your CV and begin to make your mark with KPMG.
