Job Description The role as a Senior Test Engineer will be to:
Lead a small engineering team and being responsible for PDP and day to day management of Test Engineers. Writing of test plans and reports. Facility management, 5S deployment and Capex procedures. Prepare, run and report out tests to customers, included tooling and hardware design or acquisition. Manage facility and capability upgrades. Internal & external technical relationships with customers and suppliers. Support the establishment of safe working practices and necessary level of documentation. Lead the Health & Safety of themselves and the department and complies with company Health & Safety requirements. Strong organisational & teamworking skills. Support testing for production, research, qualification and validation of new and existing products. Manage testing projects and capability development within the function. There will be occasional overnight travel required to support external testing. You shall technically support the Mechanical Test Lab, with queries and issue resolution. You will also support the work of the business to establish safe working practices and necessary level of documentation. You will be involved with projects from the planning / assembly / instrumentation / commissioning phase through to successfully performing and reporting the test. You will have a minimum of 5 years test experience across key areas of the role. Have a background of working in a Test environment within an Engineering company. Good report writing skills including status and progress reporting.
