We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Systems Engineer to join our proactive and innovative team.
The Systems Engineer for Seeker Technologies will play a critical role in designing, developing, and validating seeker systems integrated with radar and electro-optic sensors.
The successful candidate will work within the seeker development team to advance targeting accuracy, operational reliability, and overall seeker performance within complex mission scenarios.
This role demands expertise in sensor technology, systems engineering principles, and experience in defence or aerospace industries.
Responsibilities System Design and Analysis: Develop system requirements and specifications for seeker technologies, focusing on radar and electro-optic sensors.
Sensor Integration: Integrate radar and EO sensors into seeker systems, ensuring they meet design, functionality, and performance specifications.
Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction in seeker system development, overseeing requirements, design, modelling, and simulation activities.
Performance Testing: Lead the development of test procedures, analysis of test data, and validation of seeker performance in both lab and field environments.
Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with radar, EO, and software engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal system performance.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify and manage risks related to seeker technologies, recommending and implementing mitigation strategies.
Documentation: Produce detailed technical documentation, including requirements, design reports, test plans, and validation reports.
Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for innovation or improvement within seeker technologies and actively contribute to advancing Expleo's capabilities.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
Master's or PhD preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
Master's or PhD preferred Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of radar and EO sensor principles and their application in seeker systems.
Proficiency in system modelling and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink).
Familiarity with signal processing algorithms, sensor fusion techniques, and RF/electromagnetic theory.
Experience with systems engineering standards, e.g., ISO 15288, DO-178, or DO-254.
Personal Attributes: Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse complex technical problems and generate effective solutions.
Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
Experience 3 years of experience in systems engineering with a focus on radar and/or electro-optic sensor technologies.
Defence or aerospace industry experience is highly desirable.
