Senior Systems Engineer Set up in 2011, Synoptix is rapidly becoming recognised as one of the UK's most capable suppliers of systems engineering expertise and know-how.
We have built up an enviable customer base in aerospace and defence and are now seeking to extend our presence and influence in the rail, transportation and public utility sectors – all of which are showing a growing appetite for the type of rigorous system engineering we advocate.
We contribute to some of the foremost engineering projects in the UK, typically supporting large and complex engineering programmes through the application of systems engineering principles.
Some of our key projects include MBSE support to various submarine programmes, adaptive camouflage for the British Army, Architectural support on Typhoon and F-35 platforms, cyber security support to EW systems.
Our customers benefit from lean delivery of agile projects, utilising best practices developed across a range of industries.
The Role: As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a number of our projects helping to deliver solutions to our customers.
In this role, you will be able to support technical project work, enhance your project management skillset and also be involved in team leadership of junior engineers if this interests you.
We can also give you the opportunity to work on projects exploring novel technologies at concept phase.
Our Requirement: We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer with ideally a 2:1 degree in a relevant discipline.
You should have successfully delivered a number of projects and played a key or lead role in at least one of them.
You must be organised, hardworking, and have good communication skills, with a collaborative mindset and be open to new ideas and ways of working.
We are interested in any experience of the following skills but they are not essential for you to apply: Requirements analysis and management MBSE approaches and tools Systems integration Synthetic environments and models Knowledge of systems engineering tools (e.g.
