Senior System Test Engineer

SPX Radiodetection is seeking a Senior Systems Test Engineer for a new position based in Bristol.
This key role will focus on system testing from the earliest stages of product development, ensuring robust quality and functionality in Radiodetection's Precision Locator and CAT products, including our IoT platform solutions.
This is a hybrid role based in Bristol, with Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday the minimum requirement to be on-site.

As a Senior System Test Engineer, you will be integral to the New Product Development process, collaborating closely with both the software and hardware teams.
You'll lead the development of test plans and take responsibility for design verification and validation from concept through to production.

Key Responsibilities: - Design and execute comprehensive test plans, emphasising system-level testing for hardware and software integrations.

- Represent testing throughout the NPD life cycle, leading the transformation of the testing function into a world-class operation.

- Create and maintain detailed test verification and validation reports, ensuring traceability and effective communication with project teams.

- Manage functional and regression testing, both manual and automated, integrating tests into GitLab CI/CD pipelines.

- Provide technical leadership and support to cross-functional agile product development teams, ensuring timely project delivery.

Requirements: - Strong technical knowledge, including V model and CI/CD, with experience in automated testing, HALT, electro-mechanical testing, and failure analysis.

- Proficiency in developing end-to-end test plans, quality assurance methodologies, and using testing tools like Cucumber or Postman.

- Hands-on approach with the ability to lead and transform testing practices.

- Experience in testing and verification of sensing/locating systems or connected devices would be an advantage.

- Degree (BEng/MEng/BSc/MSc) or HND/HNC in Electronics & Software.
