As a member of staffyou will be encouraged and supported to implement new ways of working that willhelp us achieve that goal.Working for us -Sussex Health and Care ( Job description Job responsibilities NHS Sussex is recruiting for a System Relationship Managerto join the System Resilience function within the System Coordination Centre.The post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective system resilience service supportingmanagers and staff across the Integrated Care Board (ICB) and wider Integrated Care System(ICS) to ensure a robust and resilient NHS response to system pressures.The post holder will support the ICS in delivering theoperational implementation of national SCC and OPEL frameworks and ensure systemresilience and an appropriate response to increasing system pressures.
They will providesupport and advice to the ICB and providers of NHS funded care as required, ensuring theoperational response to system pressures is timely and effective whilst ensuring NHSSussex are provided with assurance and oversight.The post holder will support the management of systemmeetings at an operationaltactical and strategic level to ensure system risks areidentified and actions are undertaken to mitigate.
Where actions are not sufficient tomitigate risk, the post holder will support the escalation of risk to tactical andstrategic management as appropriate and ensure a complete register is maintained at all times.The post holder will support the Senior System RelationshipManagers to ensure that system operations and SCC work streams and programmes ofwork are planned and managed effectively and will take the lead in assistingtheir successful delivery.
Person Specification Skills and Capabilities Essential Must be able to provide and receive highly complex, sensitive, or contentious information, negotiate with senior stakeholders on difficult and controversial issues, and present complex and sensitive information to large and influential groups.

Experience Essential Experience of identifying and interpreting National policy.
Experience of researching best practice (globally, private, and public sector), interpreting its relevance and processes/ practices which could be implemented successfully to achieve system reform (advising on policy implementation) Must be able to prioritise own work effectively and be able to direct activities of others.
Experience of managing and motivating a team and reviewing performance of the individuals Comprehensive experience of project principles techniques and tools such as Prince 2 and Managing Successful Projects Qualifications Essential Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area Extensive knowledge of specialist areas, acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to masters level equivalent.
Evidence of continuing professional development Must understand the background to and aims of current healthcare policy and appreciate the implications of this on engagement.
Should have an understanding of the relationship between the NHS England, provider, and commissioning organisations.
Other Essential Must be able to use initiative to decide relevant actions and make recommendations to Sponsor/ Manager, with the aim of improving deliverables and compliance to policies.
Ability to make decisions autonomously, when required, on difficult issues, working to tight and often changing timescales.
Adaptability, flexibility, and ability to cope with uncertainty and change.
Willing to engage with and learn from peers, other professionals, and colleagues in the desire to provide or support the most appropriate interventions.
