Job description: Skewd is renowned for the art of fine dining in North London.
Our award winning restaurant group has become famous for our excellence and luxury dining experiences.
Our guests keep coming back and we are expanding... We are opening a new Pan Asian restaurant in the heart of Cricklewood and need a dedicated and energetic head sushi chef to take control over all aspects of the kitchen including the team.
Our head chef is a crucial part of the senior management team; leading, developing and inspiring the wider kitchen team to ensure a high standard of execution to deliver consistent, beautiful dishes as part of one of North Londons best new openings.
You will play a central role in the preparation and execution of high-quality sushi dishes, contributing to the diversity and excellence of our Pan Asian inspired menu.

Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards.
Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and prepared in compliance with food safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and communicate needs for restocking to management.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques and best practices in food safety.
Who we want: Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant kitchen environment.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques related to sushi making, including fish handling, cutting and rice preparation.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations in the culinary industry.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
