You will report to the Assistant Supply Chain Manager and form part of a team which is responsible for delivering a professional top-up and receipt and distribution service.
The role will assist the Assistant Supply Chain Manager in the responsibility for providing the day-to-day operational services of the Supplies Section, which includes, the Goods Distribution Centre, Domestics Stores, Pathology Stores and an efficient Materials Management customer orientated stock replenishment service to Wards and Departments.
We are looking for someone who can work in a fast-paced environment and is keen to learn and develop.
This is an apprenticeship role - and you will be completing a supervisory management apprenticeship (level 3) - if you already hold this apprenticeship, apprenticeship wage will not be applicable to your application.
Otherwise wage is 80% of the Band 4 pay until completion of the apprenticeship.
Main duties of the job To assist in the management on a day-to-day basis all aspects of the service provided by the Supplies Section/ Goods Distribution Centre.To provide a full top up service to Wards and Departments using handheld computers and manual requisitions, making flexible adjustments depending on needs of the TrustTo use the Trust Purchase and Supply System for all Supplies requirements, such as booking in deliveries, and using stock management systemTo provide Customers with advice and guidance surrounding the services and procedures provided by SuppliesTo provide purchasing and supplies advice for items ordered via Supplies and guidance to customers as required.To assist in the management and purchasing of stock including stocktakes on behalf of wards/clinics, Resus top up, Picc line service, Pathology stores and GP services, ordering stock with annual value in excess of £800,000To seek alternatives for discontinued / restricted lines in conjunction with Commodity Advisor / Assistant Supply Chain Manager/ Purchase and Supply Manager to ensure product continuity Be part of a busy Team, we are looking for someone hard working, who is proactive and keen to learn.
