Senior Structural Engineer

Senior Structural Engineer This is a brand new vacancy and a great opportunity to join a well-established consultancy who are looking to grow their London office.
The company have a strong track record for developing engineers and this ensures there is a clear pathway for progression to become an Associate in the future.
Having already secured around half of this years forecasted workload they have decided now is the time to expand.
Role and Responsibilities • Undertake conceptual, feasibility and detailed design • Undertake checking of technical content of work carried out by others • Manage various different projects simultaneously • Attend both client and design team meetings • Get actively involved in the training of others within the office • Carry out structural surveying work of buildings and provide advice on any defects/issues Requirements • Ideally Chartered or close to it (MICE/MIStructE) • It is critical you will have extensive experience and understanding of designing using concrete, steel, masonry and timber • Candidates must have experience of leading multiple projects over £3million in construction value • Must have good experience with Finite element analysis (FEA) and other software design packages, including Tedds, Tekla and SCIA etc.
• Must have good report writing and communication skills • Be able to motivate and inspire staff within the team and others around them.
