HMP Isle of Wights present role is a category B male training prison.
Located on a small island, HMP Isle of Wight is located 8 minutes from St Marys Hospital and 26 minutes away from Cowes Ferry Terminal.
Currently our core hours of operation are: Primary care nurses 07:30 -17:30 IHU nurses rotate throughout 24/7 service This position is full time ( hrs) and youll receive an annual salary up to £52,507 per annum - depending on experience.
Golden Hello - £3,000 (£1,000 in 6 months of service, £1,000 after 12 months and £1,000 after 24 months of service - conditions apply).

Main duties of the job As a Registered Nurse (Adult) youll be an integral part of the healthcare team at HMP Isle of Wight by bringing your clinical skills and passion for care.
You could be involved in anything from Developing and leading clinics, Undertaking examinations and tests as well as answering emergency bells and potentially being the first person to attend an emergency.

Qualifications & Experiences Required Registered nurse Adult Evidence of Continued Professional Development Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working A non-judgmental and compassionate approach Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP and national standards Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
