Who we are looking for: · Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
· HCPC Registered.
· Achieved Dysphagia Competencies.
· Specialist knowledge of SaLT models and interventions in ABI (Social communication, cognitive communication, communication partner training).
· Minimum 4 years qualified experience encompassing complex case management.
· Able to manage complex dysphagia within an adult neurology caseload.
About the role: We are seeking a Speech and Language Therapist to join our team.
The successful candidate will: · Work as an autonomous speech and language therapist within your multidisciplinary team.
· Apply the neurobehavioral approach to brain injury, demonstrating knowledge of current research findings and best practice in the field.
· Assess how a clients communication impacts their day-to-day life and provide intervention.
· Work alongside the client and their social network to problem solve and overcome barriers.
· Assess communication and provide a management plan and rehabilitation seeking specialist assessments as required.
· Provide training to staff and our service user's social network.
· Be integral to organisational and service development.
