AWS Specialist Solutions Architects (SSAs) are technologists with deep domain-specific expertise, able to address advanced concepts and feature designs.
As part of the AWS sales organization, SSAs work with customers who have complex challenges that require expert-level knowledge to solve.
SSAs craft scalable, flexible, and resilient technical architectures that address those challenges.
This might involve guiding customers as they refactor an application or designing entirely new cloud-based systems.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
- Experience within the data and analytics domain (e.g., SQL, data engineering, or similar), with a focus on business intelligence.
- Experience developing dashboards with a Business Intelligence platform such as QuickSight, Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, Thoughtspot, Microstrategy, Sisense, Domo, etc.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent.
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients.
- Cloud Technology Certification (such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional or Cloud DevOps Engineering).
- Experience with a programming language such as Python, Ruby, JavaScript, C#, C++, or similar.
- Experience in architecting and implementing Business Intelligence solutions into production.
- Experience in technology/software sales, pre-sales, or consulting.
