We are looking for a candidate with a variety of experience as an Occupational Therapist, including community rehabilitation, and who is keen to develop clinical and service development skills in the field of Post COVID Rehabilitation.
You will be supported by the ICRS Lead and will have excellent peer support from the other Post COVID leads across the city.
This post provides a unique opportunity to use your specialist rehabilitation skills and will involve delivering high-quality care to patients in their own homes, clinic setting, or virtually as appropriate.
The ICRS currently provides therapy across the areas of Home-Physiotherapy, Post COVID Rehabilitation Service, Falls, Orthopaedic Outreach, and Community OT.
You will be leading the Post COVID Rehabilitation Service while providing support as needed across the ICRS, thus providing an excellent varied opportunity to use your clinical skills across different areas.
If you are an enthusiastic and well-motivated HCPC registered occupational therapist with good communication, clinical, and organisational skills, and an interest in specialising in Post COVID Rehabilitation, this is an exciting opportunity for developing skills within a specialist area.

Main duties of the job The post holder will be responsible for providing highly specialist Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment for patients referred, ensuring appropriate input and pathways of care and communications via liaison and referral to other agencies as required.
The post holder will particularly focus on leading Post COVID service delivery along with other ICRS services as demand rises.
The post holder will be responsible for allocated aspects of leading and developing the Service with a focus on Long COVID service to ensure delivery of a high quality, evidence-based Post COVID service across the MLCO Footprint.
The post holder will be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of their professional and clinical work and work to agreed KPIs, national, and professional standards.
The post holder will participate in continuing professional development, clinical audit, and in-service training.
The post holder will supervise and support more junior occupational therapists, assistants, and students.
The post holder will provide clinical and managerial support to MDT colleagues in the team.

Person specification Qualifications Registration with the HCPC Degree in Occupational Therapy Clinical Educator Qualification Active member of relevant specialist interest group Experience Relevant post-graduate experience in a variety of specialities at band 6/7 level Skills in adult rehabilitation Experience in providing clinical leadership and problem-solving skills Line management of staff and students, including teaching, supervision, appraisal Experience of MDT working Knowledge and experience of implementing new policies and procedures at service level.
