Responsibilities:Engage with potential customers to build trust and credibility and shape software and data solutions for challenges and requirements across UK Central Government.Attend pre-sales meetings with potential clients to determine business vision, challenges, needs, explore solution options, build the case for change and establish buy-in/consensus for a recommended solution/approach.Take overall accountability and ownership for solutions in bids, ensuring they are innovative, competitive and cost-effective, meet the client need and align to our delivery capability and strengths.Interface with the implementation/project teams for key projects, articulating the customer need, to ensure a smooth transition from Sales to Delivery.Engage confidently and passionately with customers to build trust and credibility.Excite customers about Civica's capabilities and solutions across the breadth of Central Government.Facilitate customer workshops to identify business challenges, requirements and constraints.Support the customer in building a case for change.Explore solution options with prospective clients and recommend innovative, compelling, and cost-effective solutions, with rationale.Establish customer consensus/buy-in for the recommended solution and approach.Lead the preparation and delivery of presales presentations and demonstrations.Own/drive the technical solution in major bids, and drive teams of solution architects and technical SMEs to propose innovative, compelling, and cost-effective solutions that meet the client need.Contribute technical content as part of RFI/RFP/ITT/bid responses.Own the cost model for technical solutions in bids, liaising with engineering teams to define costs.Liaise with engineering & delivery leads to define delivery plan and resource models for bids.Coordinate effective peer review of estimates.Coordinate technical and security reviews of solutions in bids.Assist with or direct the creation of technical detail for use in marketing collateral.Essential Skills and Qualities:Energetic, passionate and enthusiastic - able to generate excitement and buy-in from prospective clients.Customer focused, committed to providing high-quality services and solutions.Creative and innovative in finding opportunities to deliver customer success.Have a keen eye for detail and an ability to infer and clarify requirements that are not explicitly stated.Be able to communicate customer requirements to both bid contributors and senior management as necessary.Organised and confident in facilitating workshops with clients.Excellent communication and presentation skills with impact and clarity.Able to communicate technical information to non-technical staff in a way that is easy to understand.Exceptional relationship and stakeholder management.Gravitas and ability to develop trust with prospective clients.Adaptable to changing business and customer needs.Willing to travel throughout the sales territories of the Central Government division (UK).As a company, we're passionate about what we do and the citizens we serve.
