Here you'll work closely with other architecture teams, eg, Enterprise, Technical, Data & Security Architecture and will collaborate with Business and IT colleagues in Santander UK, as well as Santander Global Architecture.
Here you'll provide technical guidance and leadership on an ongoing basis to colleagues across the architecture community and lead a team of Solution Architects, supporting their professional development, as well as day to day management support.
The difference you'll make: Providing Architectural leadership during the initiation phases of programmesManaging a team of Architects aligned to your portfolioTaking ownership for the resolution of issues within programmes and ensure alignment to strategy and policyIdentifying and mitigating risks associated with solution architecture decisions, including performance bottleneck and integration challengesSupporting talent development across the architecture communityProviding mentorship, coaching, and training to less experienced architects to enhance technical skills, foster professional growth and promote a culture of learning and continuous improvementWhat you'll bring: These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:
Experience of leading solution architecture and design within the Treasury Risk domain, with a background in Risk Models and Machine Learning models on big data platforms, for large transformation programmes within complex organisationsExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsDemonstrable experience of architecture across a range of domains, technologies or industriesThe ability to anticipate obstacles and make plans accordingly to ensure that stakeholder requirements are fully reflected in data architecture outcomesAbility to mentor, provide guidance on solution architecture and governance to team membersA passion for driving change by creating practical, workable architectures aligned to IT principles and following appropriate governanceIt would also be nice for you to have: Experience within Financial Services across one or more of the following business domains:Digital TechnologyTreasury & RiskTeam Leadership ExperienceKnowledge of adjacent architectural areas (e.g.
Data, Infrastructure, Security, Cloud architecture)What else you need to know: This role is a permanent position to be based in Milton Keynes.

To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).
