The role is restricted to those physically located in Europe. We cannot consider candidates who are not based in that region. Preference will be given to candidates based in Portugal, Spain, or Malta.
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to play a crucial role in the future of our Affiliation Marketing platform. You'll be involved in the early-stage development of new core services and shape the direction of our Data and SaaS platforms.
About you:
You are curious, innovative, proactive, and a self-starter. You stay on top of modern engineering best practices. You have solid experience in working flexibly across the entire stack and are comfortable with the development languages and frameworks it involves, with a bias for backend software engineering.
You are detail and result-oriented, with a true passion for delivering high-quality software, the continuous improvement of products and ways of working. You are prepared to meet deliverables, remaining on top of all daily project activities, assess changes and risk management, and do so while managing multiple internal stakeholders.
You are a team player, comfortable working with developers, product managers, engineering leaders, and DevOps engineers to ensure the release of new features and the successful launch of new products. You are comfortable working in a hybrid, fast-paced, remote-first environment.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you are expected to:
Develop new features and address maintenance for our products. Deliver high-quality code while applying and staying up to date with the latest software development standards. Identify the causes of reported bugs and implement the respective fixes. Collaborate seamlessly with designers, software, and QA engineers in an Agile setup. Evaluate the impact of features and defects alongside your team members and the Product Owner. Share and promote your ideas towards the improvement of the products and the business. Success in this role means:
Successfully delivering high-performance, high-quality features. Continuously improving the quality, scalability, performance, and maintainability of our products. Contributing to discussions about infrastructure and codebase architecture and design. Achieving product milestones and goals regularly. Raising the bar on the decisions taken within the team with innovative ideas and solutions. Requirements:
7+ years of proven experience as a Software Engineer or similar role with TypeScript and NodeJS. Strong knowledge of Nest and commonly used concepts related to it, ideally hands-on experience in one or more projects. Proficiency with relational database technologies like Postgres or MySQL/MariaDB and data modeling. A solid understanding of APIs design, implementation, documentation, and consumption. Experience working with NodeJS ORMs, ideally Prisma. Passionate about self-improvement and web technologies. Strong English communication skills (written & verbal). Ability to address change with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn new ways. Available to work +/- 2 CET. STEM degree from a top-tier university. Nice to haves:
Experience in working with containers/docker. Familiarity with Amazon Web Services and Serverless. Understanding of automated git pipelines and CI/CD processes. Experience with ReactJS and NextJS. Experience working in a fast-paced work environment. Familiarity with iGaming and concepts of Affiliate Marketing. #J-18808-Ljbffr
