Responsibilities Learn, understand and maintain the vision and 'big picture' of the solution, questioning and refining requirements whilst helping shape and deliver the future technical road-map.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders, customers, and the wider team to ensure alignment between technical deliverables and business goals.
Deliver high-quality software through iterative development practices, including TDD/BDD, clean code, and continuous integration.
Actively contribute to architectural decisions , focusing on scalability, security, and performance.
Help lead efforts in identifying and addressing technical debt , ensuring the platform is resilient and maintainable.
Refactor, troubleshoot, and upgrade existing software with a focus on delivering value to both internal and external customers.
Work with a security-first mindset , ensuring the solution safeguards both business and customer interests.
Act as a technical mentor to other engineers, sharing knowledge and fostering growth through collaboration, pair programming, and running knowledge-sharing sessions.

Experience Required Must have: Extensive experience in Java and associated frameworks (e.g.
Spring , Hibernate ,).
Proven experience in designing and delivering scalable, secure and resilient software solutions.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms ( AWS preferred) and modern CI/CD practices (including Git , Docker ,) Experience working in modern software teams using agile methodologies e.g.
Kanban Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and collaborate across teams.
Good-to-have: Proficiency with test-driven development (TDD) and BDD.
Any experience in scripting and Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform.
Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g.
React, Angular).
Soft Skills: Strong team player with a drive to improve both themselves and the team.

Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment.
