Senior Software Engineer

*Remote role (UK)* Growing agritech business developing pioneering AI and IoT solutions.

KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: The experience level in commercial software engineering (5+ years') to occupy a senior role in a small team.
High level of expertise in Python.
Back-end leaning.
Sound architectural knowledge and exposure to cloud computing (in particular, AWS).
The ability to thrive in small-company / start-up environment, in a remote position.
Nice to haves include: A grasp of front-end development and technologies, knowledge of Machine Learning FURTHER OVERVIEW: Looking to develop more robust and scalable systems as commercial interest in their product increase, this AgriTech start-up is therefore looking to expand their tech team with the addition of a Senior Software Engineer.
We are seeking an experienced individual, able to occupy a senior role in a small team - encompassing coaching and guidance of other Software Engineers, contributing to design and architectural level decisions and being able to quickly make tangible contributions, whilst still being predominantly hands on as a developer / coder.
To be eligible candidates must be able to demonstrate a high level of expertise in Python development, in a mostly back-end focused role (albeit with some front-end knowledge being a bonus).
Knowledge of cloud computing (AWS) and DevOps related principles will also be required.
Last but not least is the ability to operate in small start-up environment, and to relish a role of high impact and visibility - with the resilience to deal with the ups and downs that can come with this!
