Job DescriptionThis is a fixed term post until 30/11/.A 2 year secondment vacancy has arisen for a Senior Social Worker within West Dunbartonshire Addictions services.The successful candidate will manage a team consisting of: 1 social worker, 2 senior addiction workers, 7 addiction workers and 1 support worker across Dumbarton and Clydebank locations.They will manage and co-ordinate the delivery and development of needs led Social Work services across the Health and Social Care integrated Addiction Team in line with relevant legislation, council policy and departmental procedures.
They will require to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be solution focused and able to work autonomously as well as being part of a team.Addiction Services provides a comprehensive integrated service for individuals experiencing alcohol or drug related problems.

RequirementsThis post is considered as Regulated Work with Children and Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential.
