Senior RF Design Engineer The Role: Our client is seeking an experienced Senior RF Design Engineer to take a leading role in the design and development of RF components and subsystems for their future product line.
You will leverage your expertise in discrete RF design to create high-performance solutions in the 100-1,000 MHz frequency range, focusing on filters, amplifiers, oscillators, mixers, and power amplifiers.
Responsibilities for the role of Senior RF Design Engineer will include: Lead the design, simulation, and optimization of discrete RF components such as filters , low noise amplifiers (LNAs) , mixers , voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs) , phase-locked loops (PLLs) , and RF power amplifiers (up to 5W) in the 100-1,000 MHz frequency range.
Apply S-parameter design techniques and use RF circuit simulation software (e.g., Keysight ADS, Microwave Office, or similar tools) to model, design, and validate RF circuits.
Contribute to the design and testing of component-level analogue circuits from DC to 10 MHz , with a focus on feedback circuits and their integration with RF subsystems.
Work closely with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, and mechanical engineers) to integrate RF components into the final product.
Perform detailed testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of RF and analogue circuits to ensure performance meets product specifications.
As the selected Senior RF Design Engineer, your background should include: At least 10 years of experience in discrete RF design.
Strong expertise in the design and development of key RF components, including filters , low noise amplifiers (LNAs) , mixers , voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs) , phase-locked loops (PLLs) , and RF power amplifiers .
Proficient in RF circuit simulation (e.g., using Keysight ADS , Microwave Office , or equivalent software) and the use of S-parameters for design validation.
Strong understanding of RF testing equipment such as network analyzers , spectrum analyzers , and signal generators .
Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to troubleshoot complex RF and analogue designs.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
