Our Children's Home in Hingham is recruiting for a Senior Residential Support Worker.
We are looking for enthusiastic, caring and passionate people to become an integral part of our support team.
In this role, you will support our young people and be responsible for providing compassionate care during your time with them.
This role also involves supporting the Registered Manager to run a successful staff team and to oversee the day to day operation of the home.

Our Children's home is located in a quiet and rural setting in Norfolk.
We are a therapeutic and nurturing children's home who supports young people aged 11 to 18 years with learning difficulties (LD), mental health needs, and emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).

A Level 3 qualification in Children's Residential and Childcare is essential, as well as previous experience within a residential childcare setting along with the following characteristics: Resilience - We support some of the most vulnerable children in society who have varying degrees of emotional behavioural difficulties, autism, ADHD and associated difficulties so there will be times where your resilience is challenged.
Communication - Communicating with our young people is vital to understand their needs.
Good teamwork and communication plays a key part in ensuring important information is relayed to other staff.
Organisation - As well as supervising the staff team, you'll need to be confident and organised in updating care plans and reporting information that will be relevant to the care of our young people.
Caring - Our young people require the best care we can offer.

Attentive - No young person is the same so being attentive to understand them and identify areas where we can support is important.

All applicants must be willing to undergo safeguarding screening appropriate to the post, including checks with Disclosure & Barring Service and at least 2 references which cover the last 3 years, for all our services we will request references from where you have worked with either Children or Vulnerable Adults.

Please note, the advertised salary is calculated on the rate of £14.00 - £14.15 per hour, plus an average of 8 x sleep ins per month at the rate of £55 per sleep in.
