About the role…The Research Partnerships team develop relationships with current and prospective partners (collaborators, funders, research sector stakeholders such as UKRI/NGOs), to support institute-wide, strategic research initiatives and identify new opportunities for research funding.
The Senior Research Partnerships Manager role supports cross-Crick engagement and liaises with external current and prospective partners to develop relationships and manage activities that support the delivery of the Crick's Discovery Without Boundaries strategy.
It is expected that this person will spend much of their time building relationships with funding bodies and academic research organisations, as well asdirectly supporting strategic applications.What you will be doing…?As a Senior Research Partnerships Manager at the Crick, you will:?Identify and develop new partnership opportunities for the Crick with other research institutions and funding organisationsDevelop and implement relationship building and influencing strategies to secure new research partnership opportunitiesManage a number of existing relationships with Crick partners, identifying further opportunities for growth and collaborationBuild strong relationships with Crick Group Leaders and Science Technology Platform (STP) leads to identify the Crick's partnership needs and help support the acquisition of such partnershipsMaintain a strong awareness of the external research funding landscape both nationally and internationallyAbout you…You will bring…?Significant experience of managing collaborative projects or partnerships, working with multiple stakeholders to deliver shared strategic valueStrong influencing, engagement and relationship building skills Significant stakeholder management experience and proven credibility in liaising with senior external and internal stakeholders, acting as a senior advocateAbility to develop and implement a strategic plan, taking it from the conceptual stage to operational effectivenessAbility to keep up to date with funders' strategy, regulations, policies and general good practice governing research fundingPrevious experience working in a scientific/research environment, liaising and working effectively with a range of disciplines and levels of seniority, enabling empathy with the academic endeavourTo see the complete job description click for more information.
