Description: We are seeking a talented individual to join our Client Support Services Team at Guy Carpenter.
This role will be based in Witham, Essex.
This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least two days a week in the office.As a Senior Reinsurance Technician, you will play a key role in managing complex portfolios, including processing technical transactions in areas such as Excess of Loss (XOL), Pro Rata (Quota Share or Treaty), and Facultative portfolios.
You will be responsible for promoting, building, and maintaining strong relationships with Brokers, Clients, and Markets, while also understanding issues, resolving problems and queries, and reviewing working practices to enhance efficiency.We also offer flexible working arrangements, including part-time and job share options, to accommodate your needs.We will count on you to: Manage service operations and functions within a client support process team, whilst providing direction on internal governance and compliance.Support, assist and provide guidance to less experienced colleagues as needed.Support Senior Management by contributing to the execution of Global CSS strategic objectives; lead and direct how the collective objectives of CSS in local Region and Globally are delivered.Lead training sessions for all CSS colleagues as applicable.Contribute to, and where required, lead change efforts, projects, quick wins, promote ideas to improve our provision of service, always question what next, never allows us to stand still.Provide service process information for Request for Proposal (RFP) and sales opportunities.Lead team meetings and activities to promote the sharing of opinions, ideas, knowledge and solutions; maintain strong working relationships and participate in initiatives and/or contribute where required to deliver outcomes.What you need to have:Knowledge of reinsurance concepts and principles, laws and regulatory requirements (e.g., FCA), and general business trends.A track record of successful client account management, relationship management, engagement, and development.Strong verbal and written communication skills for complex communications (presentations, negotiations, etc.)
