Job summary We are looking for a conscientious, hard-working, caring person to join our team as a Senior Radiology Clinical Support Worker within the Radiology Department at Prince Philip Hospital in Llanelli.This is a full time role within the department.
Main duties of the job It is essential that you enjoy working with people and have great communication skills.
You must have patience and be methodical, work well in a team but have the ability to take initiative and work individually.
Duties include:Assisting the Radiographers working in the clinical perform clerical and administration welcome patients and escort them to changing assist patients to prepare for imaging procedures.Supporting the radiographers and patients during and after imaging procedures.
IV Cannulation of patients after training.Cleaning and general hygiene tasks in the department.Stocktaking and ordering of designated consumables.Previous hospital experience would be desirable.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Interviews will be held on 11/12/2024 Person Specification Qualifications & Knowledge Essential Level 3 qualification in relevant healthcare subject, or possess the equivalent skills, knowledge and experience with a commitment to undertake on the job training to NVQ level 3 accreditation Understanding of the role of radiographic support workers Desirable Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology Knowledge of clinical work Language Skills Desirable Welsh speaker - Level 1 Experience Essential Previous experience of working with the public in paid or voluntary roles Experience of using computers Desirable Experience in supportive/assistant role, such as Radiology Support Worker or Healthcare Support Worker, working within a hospital/caring environment Experience in a range of clinical skills, including aseptic techniques Other Essential Satisfactory Standard/Enhanced DBS clearance including an/a Adults and Childrens Barred List check Ability to move and handle equipment and assist with manual handling of patients
