Job summary Hereat the Mid Yorkshire Trust an exciting opportunity has arisen for an ExperiencedCT Radiographer with previous NHS experience to become a key role within ourdepartment here at Radiology.
We requiresomeone who has excellent organisational and Interpersonal skills and who cancontinuously improve themselves and help others to do so within our department.The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate evidence of either BScRadiography or , HPC Registered.
Provide evidence of good CTexperience.
Have the ability to work accurately under pressure and show evidenceof supervisory skills.We are a 4-site trust and as part of your role you will berequired to work across all 4 sites on a rota basis covering, Days, Nights,Weekends and Bank holidays.
(Pinderfields, Pontefract, Dewsbury and WakefieldCommunity Diagnostic Centre).
The Mid Yorkshire Trust has excellent travel links to Leeds,Sheffield, Doncaster and Bradford.
We are close to both the M1 and the M62.

Main duties of the job To work as a member of the CT team responsiblefor producing high quality CT images within the Radiology Service.To perform a comprehensive range ofCT procedures, trust wide.To contribute towards the efficientdeployment of resources enabling the patient to receive a safe, accurate and timelyexamination.To assist in co-ordinating workflowdemands within the CT departments across the trust.To contribute towards findingsolutions which will meet the rapidly changing demands on the radiologyservice.To contribute to training/tutorialopportunities within the CT Department.

Job description Job responsibilities KeyResponsibilitiesTo ensure imaging procedures are carried out inaccordance with mandatory departmental systems of work and protocols.
To adapt technique to the condition of thepatient and level of co-operation, consistentwith a good diagnostic outcome/optimum image quality.
To assess each patient and request to producethe correct course of action for examination and diagnosis.
To actively develop high standards of patientcare ensuring Trust policies and protocols are widely communicated and areimplemented , infection control.
To play an active role in the implementation anddevelopment of quality assurance programmes including departmental audit.
To undertake additional areas of responsibilityas delegated by the Team Leader.
Person Specification Skills and Abilities Essential Evidence of a high standard of radiography for others to follow.
Ability to work accurately under pressure.
Evidence of supervisory skills.
Evidence of leadership and of organisational skills.
Ability to receive and communicate information verbally and in writing.
Basic computer literacy Familiarity with computer use for Radiology.
Desirable Information Systems.
Familiarity with PACS.
Access to a vehicle with the ability to travel independently in line with requirements.
Qualifications Essential BSc Radiography or , HPC.
REGISTERED Desirable Evidence of post graduate study In particular CT PG cert Knowledge and Awareness Essential Awareness of the changing demands on the radiology service Knowledge of the Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations 2017 and Ionising Radiation Regulations 2017 Evidence of keeping informed of current techniques and practices Knowledge of Health and Safety at Work, COSHH, and Minimal Handling Desirable Knowledge of, or interest in, QA.
Knowledge of, or interest in, teaching.
Knowledge of appraisal/staff development programmes.
Experience Essential Evidence of participating in out-of-hours radiography service.
Experience of IV cannulation.
Evidence of good CT experience.
Significant CT experience within the NHS.
Desirable Must have significant previous CT experience.
Evidence of experience over and above Radiographer level work beneficial to the department such as audit, co-ordinating workload and resources.
Evidence of delivering the clinical education of student radiographers, possibly including clinical supervisor/assessor roles.
