Job DescriptionWe have a current opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor on a contract basis.
This will be a site based position based out of Huddersfield predominantly.
I am looking for an Senior Quantity Surveyor with Civils background, who worked on and come from a Rail environment and on Rail Projects, to work on a fast paced, extremely large scale project in the heart of West Yorkshire.
It will be a predominately Site/Office based role in Yorkshire, so the ideal candidate will be local, and will be able to commute to site, however if you are the right person, the client will offer a lodge relief payment of £355 per week before deductions.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the following: - Maintain high personal safety and environmental standards in accordance with Company policy.
Fully understand and participate in the "Your Safety is My Safety" declared vision - Understand and ensure compliance with Company Procedures and Policies.
- Maintain effective communications with all disciplines within the Project and the Company business - Provide commercial contact with supply chain partners were appropriate.
- Be responsible for identification and re-measurement of change from GRIP 4 design to GRIP 5 design [AFC] - Attend and provide input to site commercial meetings, providing advice to the site team with regards to re-measurement / quantification.
- Manage time and workloads for yourself Who are we looking for The following are necessary requirements: - Thorough knowledge of civil engineering construction processes and working methods - Extensive knowledge and experience in measurement and production of bills of quantities, using o CESMM o MMHW - Successful experience at Senior Quantity Surveyor level - Be committed to promoting equality and diversity The following are desirable requirements: - To be a Member of CICES or RICS - Experience of the Rail CESMM - Understanding of construction law and contractual terms in standard contract forms - Ability to maintain and enhance client relationships - Experience of working on alliance or joint ventures - Experience in rail.
- Experience of ICC / NEC forms of Contract - Experience of large civil engineering structures This is a long term freelance opportunity, it will be working Inside IR35, but rates are negotiable.
Senior Quantity Surveyor Rate CIRCA - £525 - £600 DOE (to be discussed) Start date - ASAP Interviews - This week via teams 12 month initial contract
