Job DescriptionSenior Quantity SurveyorThis is a great opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading civil engineering Tier 1 contractor and work on some exciting civil engineering projects across the Thames valley area of England, to be based in the Reading office working on water projects.This is a career enhancing opportunity with a company who offer great development and progression opportunities and is known as an employer who put their people first.Key responsibilities for this Senior Quantity Surveyor role• Co-ordinating with, reporting to and implementing the reasonable directives of the Regional Director/Manager and the Commercial Manager• Ensuring prompt and regular submission of main contract payment applications and subsequent cash collection together with the preparation of sub-contractor payments• Supervising, mentoring and encouraging junior staff in their personal professional development• Ensuring the timely submission of all relevant data required to monitor and analyse individual contract performance on a monthly and quarterly basis thereafter• Involvement in dispute avoidance/resolutionExperience required for this Senior Quantity Surveyor role:• Surveying Degree or equivalent qualification / experience• Good knowledge of standard forms of contract• A comprehensive understanding of the Water Industry• Ability to negotiate with clients/sub contractors and draft sub contractsPackage offered for this Senior Quantity Surveyor role:• Up to £75,000 negotiable based on experience• Excellent pension• Generous holiday allowance plus bank holidays• A number of other great benefits
