Senior Civils Quantity Surveyor (Preston/Manchester) - Hybrid - £50,000-£75,000 DOE Your new company: An exciting new opportunity for a Civil Quantity Surveyor (Senior) to join a Tier 1 Contractor working in the construction and engineering industry.

They are a leading provider of civil engineering and construction services, renowned for delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across various sectors.

Your new role: They are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing Commercial Team in Lancashire to help successfully deliver water contracts in the area due to an increase in workload with AMP8 approaching.
As a team of 11, you will be joining the business as a senior member of the team to work on project delivery success.
After recently securing the United Utilities Framework, the role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of projects within the water and highways sectors.
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be based in their Preston or Manchester office and also work from home and site on a hybrid basis Some Key Responsibilities Include: Oversee and manage all financial aspects of civil engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Monitor project costs, prepare budgets, and manage financial risks.
Handle contract negotiations, variations, and claims in accordance with industry standards.
Prepare detailed reports on project progress, costs, and forecasts.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
Ensure all work complies with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
What you'll need to succeed: In order to be successful, you will have previous experience surveying within the water sector or on major infrastructure projects and ideally hold a degree in quantity surveying (or equivalent).
In addition, you will have a strong understanding of administering NEC contracts and preferably hold a CSCS card.
You will be commercially astute and have strong communication skills.
You will need to have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the civil engineering sector, with a strong focus on water projects.
Experience in highways projects is also highly desirable.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
Membership of a relevant professional body would be advantageous but not essential.
