Job DescriptionSenior Quantity Surveyor This is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well known specialist contractor working on a number of large civils related projects across the Northern Region.
This can be based from site in Liverpool or office based in Leeds.
The company are a well know specialist contractor who operate nationwide throughout the UK and have a number of Regional offices.
Your role as Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for estimating and controlling costs for projects, making sure that structures meet legal and quality standards.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be involved in every stage of the project.
You will b e based in their Essex office and be able to visit various sites within the North.

Key responsibilities for this Senior Quantity Surveyor role: - Preparation of internal commercial reporting and any other reports which may be required.
- Preparation of valuations/applications for payment with supporting documentation in accordance with the contract - Preparation of Cost Reports to the Client with contractually compliant supporting documentation - Preparation and management of subcontract and material procurement schedules - Administration of sub contractor/supplier accounts from the preparation of detailed requisitions, monitoring and authorisation of subcontract payments through to agreements of final accounts.
- Undertake the contract administration, including change management and maintain associated registers.
- Identify commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering and change.
- Utilise the costing system.
- Preparation of internal commercial reporting and any other reports which may be required.
Experience required for this Senior Quantity Surveyor role: - Relevant Industry Experience - Experience in a similar role - General Civils Experience - Commercially astute with knowledge of standard forms of contract and standard methods of measurement - Computer literate with strong skills in Microsoft Office Applications - Good communication skills including presentations and ability to negotiate and persuade others - Experience within a construction/engineering industry - Have at least 5 years QS experience and ideally a minimum of 2 years as a SQS.
Package offered for this Senior Quantity Surveyor Role: - Basic Salary of up to £95,000 for the right individual.
