We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Construction team based in South Devon, working at our HMP Channings Wood Prison site.
Location: Newton Abbot, South Devon Contract: Permanent, full-time What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be working on a major Government construction contract, at HMP Channings Wood Prison, that will provide a critical asset to the local area.
Within the role, you'll be working within the Commercial Team, supporting them in building projects that support and develop the local communities.
Your day to day will include: Advising on financial feasibility of projects at early stages Negotiating with sub-contractor supply chain to achieve best value.
Monitoring and measuring actual expenditure against budgeted project expenditure in the form of CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation Reports) Assess, review, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks and implement Kier Groups policies for risk management Prepare and present monthly cost reports, value works executed by Sub-Contractors and certify interim and final payments What are we looking for?
This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if: Proven experience in managing the commercials over the full project lifecycle in education, commercial, leisure, healthcare, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Justice and mixed-use projects In-depth knowledge of contract administration, risk management, and valuation processes.
Experience in the commercial management of high value build projects.
